IEEE is hosting the 17th InternationalSymposium on Electrets (ISE 2019) in Limerick, Ireland, 2-6 September 2019.
This unique event is designed to examine key critical developments and innovations in electrets science, technology, products and services that will alter the research and application. Electrets are dielectrics and can generate electrostatic fields in a similar way permanent magnets create magnetic field. Electrets are used in microphones, copy machines, inkjet printers, dust collections, electrostatic lens, radiation measurements. Emerging area of applications include energy harvesting, bioelectrical stimulation and sensing, new sensors and actuators, device and components in additive manufacturing, and characterisation techniques
